Entry to Employment (e2e)
e2e is a vocational learning programme available to young people aged 16-18 who are not ready or able to enter further education, apprenticeship programmes or employment. e2e aims to equip them with the necessary skills to overcome any barriers to learning through a programme of personal development sessions and vocational ‘tasters' which are specifically tailored to meet individual needs.

14-16 Provision
Working in partnership with local schools, some Network Providers offer provision to 14-16 year olds

Young Apprenticeships
The Young Apprenticeship Programme has been introduced for young people at the start of academic year 10 (aged 14-16). The fourth year of the programme began in September 2007. Designed for well-motivated pupils, the programme offers up to 2 days per week in the workplace with an employer and supported by a learning provider.

Apprenticeship Programme
Apprenticeships form part of the nationally recognised work based learning programmes for young people and adults and provide hands on work experience, training, study and a wage. Apprenticeships also help businesses stay competitive by providing practical skills to do the job. Apprenticeships are offered in a wide range of industry sectors and at two levels, Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships.

Adult Apprenticeship
Apprenticeships in a variety of vocational areas have been piloted across the region for the 25+. From 2008, the LSC have lifted funding restrictions for those adults wishing to undertake an apprenticeship route and are currently in discussion with providers who wish to offer these programmes.
